What conditions does TriMed Spine & Joint treat?

We evaluate and treat spine, joint and nerve conditions. On the spine side that includes herniated and bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, lumbar and cervical spinal stenosis, sciatica, pinched nerves, facet disease, spondylolisthesis and scoliosis. On the joint and orthopedic side it includes joint disease, hip and knee pain, ACL, tendon and ligament injuries, and sports injuries. We also treat auto accident and work injuries.

Which conditions are most often treated with DRX9000 spinal decompression?

Herniated discs, bulging discs and degenerative disc disease are the conditions most often referred for DRX9000 spinal decompression. Whether decompression is appropriate depends on your examination and imaging, not on the diagnosis label alone. The DRX9000 table is located at our Boca Raton office at 307 Via De Palmas, and patients who begin care at another office are scheduled there for their decompression sessions.

Do I need imaging or a referral before my first visit?

You do not need a referral to be seen. If you already have an X-ray, MRI or CT report, bring it or the disc with you, because existing imaging often shortens the workup. If you do not have imaging and the examination suggests it would change the plan, we will tell you what we recommend and why before ordering anything.

How do I know whether my pain is coming from a disc, a joint or a nerve?

You usually cannot tell from the pain alone, which is why the examination matters. Disc and nerve problems more often radiate into an arm or leg and change with position, coughing or sitting. Joint problems tend to stay local, hurt at the end of a movement, and are often stiffest in the morning. A history, physical examination and, when indicated, imaging are what separate the two.

Which of your offices should I go to?

Boca Raton and Lauderhill are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Hollywood and Delray Beach see patients by appointment only, Monday through Saturday. If you are being evaluated for DRX9000 spinal decompression, your decompression visits will take place in Boca Raton.
